LAND EXPLORER

To visualize LIS data, we have developed a web-based visualization system called "Land Explorer" (LE). LE tightly integrates with the LIS Grads-DODS server. It is designed to let users interactively visualize and explore LIS data at all resolutions, featuring an intuitive web interface and fast response. No special requirements, such as javascript, cookies, java applets, or pop-up windows are needed.

Follow the links on the GrADS-DODS Server to a dataset you wish to visualize, then click on the "info" link. From there, click on the "Visualize" link to use LE.

LIVE ACCESS SERVER

The Live Access Server (LAS) is a software package developed by NOAA. LAS is a highly configurable Web server designed to provide flexible access to geo-referenced scientific data. LAS enables users to visualize data with on-the-fly graphics, repquest custom subsets of variables in a choice of file formats, and access background reference material about the data (metadata).
